While its general plan follows that of the earlier volumes, the subjects treated cover a wider range of observation and experience. In the adaptations of the lessons to meet the needs of the class and to fit the materials at hand to study, the teacher should exercise the same liberty as previously suggested. Many Of the lessons may be extended indefinitely by giving added directions, orally or upon the blackboard, for further experiments, Observations, or research.
