Between October and December 2007, out of boredom, I suddenly had an idea and decided to visit every 7-Eleven store in Hong Kong. Over the course of 60 days, I covered 801 stores across the city. At the time, it was estimated that there were a total of 820 7-Eleven stores in Hong Kong. However, I chose to stop at 801 stores because some locations were simply impossible to find. Additionally, I had a sense that with new 7-Eleven stores opening almost daily in Hong Kong, I would never have the chance to stop if I didn't pick a point to end. Besides, 801 and 820 are not too far apart in number, and '801' has a pleasant ring to it. I consider myself a highly persistent person but walking through all of Hong Kong and finding every 7-Eleven store truly required immense determination. I came up with a method to strengthen myself: years ago, I volunteered at a charity organization and had maintained a good relationship with them ever since. Inspired by certain fundraising methods abroad, I decided to donate HK$10 to this charity, Crossroads International. For every 7-Eleven store I visited. As a result, I found 801 stores and raised HK$8,010. These funds were mainly contributed by 7-Eleven itself, as well as my supportive family and friends.
