Strategic Disciple Making
For many people, church is there to meet their needs--with programs designed with them in mind. Strategic Disciple Making teaches these churchgoers to develop a servant's heart. Readers will discover that they control the destiny of their church. If they seek personal contentment, they must grow as disciples, and church expert Aubrey Malphurs explains the true meaning of the word. This refreshing resource offers a radical "how-to" for renewing faltering faith. It is perfect for burned-out ministers and downcast church leaders who want a more authentic discipleship experience.

Providing a model that focus on the four domains of growth . . . identified in Luke 2:52 (wisdom, stature, favor with God, favor with others), [this project presents] a discipleship strategy titled the Four-Square Discipleship model . . . Working with eight coaches or disciplers to develop a growth plan for their disciples from where they are to where God wants them to be is the purpose of this project. The results of strategic discipleship with identified goals proved to be very beneficial to the growth and development of the the disciple" (viii).
Becoming a Disciple-Making Church: A Strategic Transition for Dongshin Apostle Community
Dongshin Apostle Community (DAC) transitioned from being a traditional church of 210 members to a hybrid church of 700 members through an organic movement called Jesus Hope Movement (JHM). In recent years, however, DAC has also plateaued in its growth due to the limitations of its institutional structure. In order for DAC to become a healthy growing church once again, it must become a disciple-making church that implements strategic biblical steps of transition that will push the church to become more organic. This thesis project will examine diverse organic factors within DAC that enabled its growth and transition to a hybrid model and, through a comparative analysis of some healthy churches in America and Korea, suggest the next set of steps that DAC must take to become more organic, thereby providing strategic biblical steps that any institutional church can implement to become a disciple-making church.
