I’ve always been a fan of fiction and myths about other worlds and the power and abilities that they can express and produce, I’ve always seen things differently than the average person, not that there aren’t people who would agree with me and see things how I do, but I haven’t met them. But when someone sees something that confuses them I understand, things that people don’t understand I find fascinating. I’m not crazy or anything I just have a unique eye for things that we encounter on a day to day basis. I see more to life, earth nature outer space, heaven and hell a lot of things that go unexpressed because its something that just comes and becomes apart of what I believe in witch happen to be a lot of things and how I see things. Most of my inspirations come from life experiences, a relationship with someone I got very attached too, frustrations about how I grew up, not that it was all bad, being abandoned, feeling alone, writing was a way to keep me from losing my mind and not caring if I was going down hill, I started to live inside my head and use metaphor’s about how I saw life as it was. Training in martial arts played a big role in my writing, whatever I felt at the time and however long it followed me. One of the things I’m coming to realize is that the bad things never leave us, because they are the memories that haunt us, instead of ignoring them or denying them we can use them and shape them into a work of art or whatever you prefer that fits who you are, it depends on how far you look inside yourself, sometimes you can look so far that it scares you and you never knew you had that side to you. The journey inside the mind and feelings is a never ending story that continues even after death, its what makes your soul that determines how well you’ll be heard. I enjoy writing, but yeah, when I think about it, I don’t want to write, but after I start its like finding myself all over again and something gets reinvented in someway.

Somewhere on the South African veld, 1901: At the height of the Boer War, a doctor at a British concentration camp conducts a series of grim experiments on Boer prisoners. His work ends in chaos, but two children survive: a boy named Benjamin, and a girl named Tessa … One hundred years later, a disgraced young police constable is reassigned to the sleepy South African town of Unie, where she makes a terrifying discovery: the body of a woman, burned beyond recognition. The crime soon leads her into her country's violent past—a past that includes her father, a high-ranking police official under the apartheid regime, and the children left behind in that long ago concentration camp. Michelle Pretorius’s epic debut weaves present and past together into a hugely suspenseful, masterfully plotted thriller that calls to mind Lauren Beukes’s The Shining Girls and Tana French’s The Secret Place. With an explosive conclusion, it marks the emergence of a thrilling new writer.

Emma Milsom thought a job with director/playwright Teddy Winters would help her put her life back together. She hadn’t counted on the presence of British actor Sebastian Brand in the dilapidated old theater. Sebastian was the foremost actor in horror films, adept at playing monsters of every sort, and his behavior in real life wasn’t much of an improvement. Rumors of accidents and death followed him, and Emma should have had enough sense to keep her distance. But Sebastian was mesmerizing, and just as obsessed with her. As the accidents began to escalate, Emma didn’t know whom to trust. She just knew it shouldn’t be Sebastian. Was he trying to seduce her, or kill her? Or perhaps both. (Previously published in a Silhouette Shadows anthology)
