The Sciences of Ḥadīth Literature

Understanding the meaning of Aḥādīth of the holy apostle is important not only as a platform for peace and fulfillment of our needs in this world, but for the removal of misunderstanding and misinterpretations of the Qur’ān. The ḥadīth (plural Aḥādīth) of the holy apostle are generally explained as his Sunna/actions, sayings predictions and all those actions of the ṣaḥābas that he did not comment on. They are regarded as his approval. The actions of the holy apostle are those verses of the Qur’ān with clear and an ambiguous meaning forming the core of the Sharī’a/Commandments. The holy apostle is to be understood he is obeyed by even those who do not openly believe in him. The one who follows the actions of the holy apostle during as-Ṣalāt, gives out the zakat when it is due, fasts the month of Ramaḍān and performs the annual pilgrimage is assured of entering the Paradise in addition to enjoying the fleeting desires in this world. The one who follows the holy apostle involuntarily is given assurance of maximum enjoyment in this world. A careful examination of the Aḥādīth of the holy apostle shows it to be the reporting of the ṣaḥābas on his activities during Ibādat. They are in the form of: We saw the holy apostle doing this and that. The other Aḥādīth are those in which he explains some verses of the Qur’ān.
