Jeton Kelmendi este poet, dramaturg, traduc_tor literar _i publicist. S-a n_scut în 1978, la Peia (Kosovo). _coala primar_ _i liceul le-a absolvit în localitatea natal_, iar studiile de Comunicare la Pristina. Urmeaz_ studii post-diplomice la Universitatea din Bruxelles. _i-a terminat cel de al doilea Masterat în diploma_ie, precum _i teza de doctorat despre influen_a mass-mediei în politicile de securitate ale Uniunii Europene. Lucreaz_ în mass-media, cu prec_dere ziaristic_, atât în Kosova cât _i în str_in_tate. Kelmendi este cunoscut prin mai multe c_r_i de poezie publicate cât _i prin scrieri publicistice referitoare la probleme de cultur_. Poemele sale sunt traduse în 28 de limbi, fiind incluse în peste 100 de antologii, devenind cel mai tradus poet albanez. Esen_a gândirii poetice a lui Kelmendi rezid_ în etica exprim_rii, vers eliptic, înzestrat cu metafore _i simboluri artistice.
