A nocturne is a work of art dealing with the evening or night. Normally, it is a dreamy composition performed on the piano, but what if we took some creative liberties and applied the same idea to a book? What if we gave ourselves permission to travel into the parts of our imagination that causes us angst and fear? The same fear that presents itself when faced with a nightmare. Seems like a strange combination. However, perhaps it could lead us to a place where one can find the beauty in the bleak, comfort in the quagmire, or solitude within the somnambulant.
