Altars are dedicated places for offering sacrifices to deities. Until the sacrificial Crucifixion of Christ - our ultimate Sacrificial Lamb on the Cross, which abolished the use of animals to sacrifice to God for various purposes, it was the focal point of Worship for those desiring to obey God. Raising and ministering on altars was a prophetic responsibility, priests were called to fulfill. Our spiritual Patriarch Abraham raised several altars on which he sacrificed to God. Isaac and Jacob did the same. Raising and Ministering on Altars was the center of worship for the Patriarchs, Judges and Kings of Israel until Jesus came. Today, Pastoral Ministry in every local Church is carried out on the Altar. Preachers preach from Altars, Communion is served from Altars, Marriage Covenants are sealed at Altars, yet few have a full understanding of the power and significance of the Altar. Evil ministers of Satan make use of altars daily without which they can barely operate. These evil activities can be destroyed, if we know what they are, where they are and what we can do to render their activities powerless. The followers of Jesus are empowered by Him to "Occupy until I return." Jesus said: "I give you ALL Authority over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you." We have been authorized to set the captives free! We welcome you to learn, for "My people perish for a lack of knowledge." it's time you no longer are "ignorant of the enemy's devices."

Being a Christian is not a guarantee that you will receive all your heart desires. Though God wants you to receive all your heart desires, you must conform to the principle of Spiritual Warfare before you can receive them. The physical is governed by the spiritual. For you to control your physical environment, you have to win your Spiritual Warfare. If you want to enjoy good health, prosper in the area of marriage, prosper financially, or receive any desire of yours, you must win your Spiritual Warfare. Unfortunately, very many people neither know what Spiritual Warfare really means nor how to wage the war. Some even call it 'warfare prayers'. Though prayer is very important, it has nothing to do with Spiritual Warfare. This explains why many pray so much and still experience lack. If Spiritual Warfare were about prayers, you probably wouldn't have any of your needs unmet - because I believe you must have prayed very hard. If Spiritual Warfare is not about prayers, what then does it mean? This book contains a shocking revelation of the actual meaning of Spiritual Warfare and how to wage the war successfully. Pastor Chris Ojigbani is the Senior Pastor of Covenant Singles and Married Ministries. God commissioned him to liberate marriages through the preaching of the Word. He and his wife Uche, who is also involved in the ministry, live in Lagos, Nigeria. His television programme, Singles and Married with Pastor Chris Ojigbani, is aired on various television stations in many parts of the world. He also conducts interactive marriage seminars in different countries.

This extraordinary collection of full-page, full-color icons introduces readers, art appreciators, and historians to the spiritual riches of the Byzantine liturgical tradition. Father Michael Evdokimov, a Russian Orthodox priest living in Paris, has presented an icon for each of the twelve great feasts of the Orthodox Christian liturgical year, as well as for other special moments of prayer. Preceding each icon is a brief commentary explaining its meaning and significance. Furthermore, facing each icon are prayers appropriate for meditation that have been translated by the Monks of New Skete Monastery in upstate New York. In a simple and accessible manner, translator Robert Smith has brought text, prayers, and icons together to show how the beliefs and practices common to Orthodox people everywhere in the world can be appreciated by all.
