Die Qualitätssicherung in der Wirtschaftsprüfung hat durch die EU-Abschlussprüferreform (Verordnung 537/2014 sowie Richtlinie 2014/56/EU) umfangreiche Änderungen erfahren. Eine der wesentlichen Neuerungen bestand darin, dass das interne Qualitätssicherungssystem einer Wirtschaftsprüferpraxis sowie die externe Prüfung des Qualitätssicherungssystems (Qualitätskontrolle) nun verhältnismäßig ausgestaltet werden sollen. Katharina Dillkötter entwickelt auf theoretischer Grundlage einen skalierten Prüfungsansatz für die Prüfung des Qualitätssicherungssystems. Zudem werden weitere Umsetzungsvorschläge für eine verhältnismäßige Ausgestaltung der Prüfung des Qualitätssicherungssystems hergeleitet. Die Erkenntnisse sind für die Gesetzgebung, die Forschung und insbesondere für die Tätigkeit in der Wirtschaftsprüfung relevant.
