Ofrece un conjunto de conocimientos (saber) y habilidades (saber hacer) que son competencias básicas y necesarias para enfrentarse al reto de la elaboración de reportajes. Ofrece los conocimientos teóricos sobre el reportaje y, sobre todo, las herramientas prácticas que permitirán al alumno ‘saber hacer’ reportajes para medios impresos y redactarlos de manera profesional. En cada capítulo se desarrolla una de las etapas de la redacción de reportajes: desde la selección temática y proyecto de reportaje hasta su edición y corrección previas a la publicación del mismo. Junto a la inclusión de numerosos ejemplos de reportajes publicados en prensa que sirvan de referencia a los alumnos, se presenta una propuesta metodológica de análisis de este tipo de textos periodísticos.
