Federal Work-Study: How AmericaA's Colleges Use Federal Funds provides information about the FWS program and its administration by 3,291 American colleges and universities. It describes the characteristics of institutional participants, the allocation and use of federal funds, and it provides detailed information on the use of funds for the JLD Program, community service, the America Reads Program, and the America Counts Program. Tables rank institutions, states and U.S. territories according to expenditures in various programs, utilization, and effectiveness. Schools self-reported the data used in this study to the U.S. Department of Education.
