Simplifying Medical Ultrasound
This book constitutes the proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Advances in Simplifying Medical UltraSound, ASMUS 2021, held on September 27, 2021, in conjunction with MICCAI 2021, the 24th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention. The conference was planned to take place in Strasbourg, France, but changed to an online event due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The 22 papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 30 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: segmentation and detection; registration, guidance and robotics; classification and image synthesis; and quality assessment and quantitative imaging.
Biomedical Image Registration
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Workshop on Biomedical Image Registration, WBIR 2020, which was supposed to be held in Portorož, Slovenia, in June 2020. The conference was postponed until December 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 16 full and poster papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 22 submitted papers. A wide-scope analysis of the synergies and differences between the two regions, the current trends and challenges is provided. The survey is multifaceted, including the relevant legislation, policies and cybersecurity agendas, roadmaps and timelines at the EU and National levels in Europe and in Japan, including the industry and standardization point of view, identifying and prioritizing the joint areas of interests.
