स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी का न्यूयार्क (अमेरिका) में दिया हुआ यह भाषण विश्वविख्यात है। स्वामीजी अपने गुरुदेव श्रीरामकृष्ण परमहंसजी के सबसे बड़े शिष्य थे और इस भाषण द्वारा उन्होंने अपने पूज्य गुरुदेव की अनुपम जीवनी का सुन्दर विश्लेषण हमारे सामने रखा है भारतवर्ष के प्रमुख संन्यासियों एवं धर्मप्रचारकों में स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी का स्थान बहुत ऊँचा है। हम कह सकते हैं कि यदि श्रीरामकृष्ण परमहंसजी स्वयं सूत्र रूप में थे तो स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी उनकी साक्षात् टीका है। परमहंसजी महाराज के उपदेश यद्यपि देखने में सरल थे और साधारण जीवन से ही उद्धृत किये गए थे तथापि उनका मार्मिक भेद, उनका गुढ़ अर्थ एवं उनका सुन्दर विश्लेषण हमारे सामने स्वामीजी द्वारा ही रखा जा सका है। उनके सारे भाषण अत्यन्त ओजस्वी, भावपूर्ण एवं सुन्दर हैं, परन्तु यह कहा जा सकता है कि उनका ‘मेरे गुरुदेव’ नाम भाषण अद्वितीय है।
