Methodology of Islamic Economics

In its pursuit to equip the reader with a basic knowledge of Islamic economics, this book divulges the micro-foundations of the discipline, and highlights the predominant schools of thought that exist in the field. It explains, in simple terms, what Islamic economics entails and how it can be studied as a science in relation to the Holy Quran, the Sunnah and the Islamic intellectual tradition based on these two sources. Batı bilim ve felsefesi karşısında Müslümanların yüz yüze kaldığı meydan okuma farklı yönleriyle değerlendirilmelidir. Batı düşüncesi inkârcı akımların yanında tanrının varlığına dair düşünceler bakımından da ele alınmalıdır. Bu çerçevede asrın ihtiyaçlarına cevap verecek kelâmın nasıl ortaya konulacağı temel sorusuna cevap verilirken, klasik kelam mirası yol gösterici olarak değerlendirilmelidir. Fakat sadece o birikimle yetinmenin günümüz problemlerinin çözümünde yeterli olmayacağını da unutmamalıyız. M. Şerefeddin Yaltkaya’nın dile getirdiği ictimaî kelam projesi kelam ilminde yenilik arayışları içerisinde yer alabileceğini düşündüğümüz bir yaklaşımdır. Yaltkaya’nın etkilendiğini not ettiğimiz Emile Durkheim’in “dayanışmacı hukuk” ve Ziya Gökalp’ın “ictimaî fıkıh” yaklaşımı da yine hukuki yaklaşımlarda toplumdaki değişim ve gelişmelerin dikkate alınması durumunda ortaya koyulacak çözümlerin daha etkili ve anlamlı olacağı iddialarını içeriyordu. O, çağdaşı olan birçok âlim gibi Müslümanların içinde bulunduğu zor durumun farkında olan ve bu kriz durumundan çıkış için çözümler üretmeye gayret eden bir İslam âlimidir.
