"Unsaid?" Some emotions find their way into our hearts like whispers, soft yet powerful, impossible to ignore yet difficult to express. Unsaid is a deeply personal and poignant story of love, longing, and the silent battles of the heart. In this evocative journey, Aditi Pujare opens a window to her soul, unraveling the delicate threads of a love that blossomed quietly and grew into something profound. With vivid storytelling and heartfelt poetry woven into each chapter, she shares the thrill of realizing her feelings, the warmth of fleeting connections, and the bittersweet sting of unspoken truths. Through the highs and lows of affection for someone who feels both familiar and distant, Unsaid explores the complexities of human emotion: the hope of being understood, the fear of rejection, and the quiet courage it takes to embrace emotions that remain unexpressed. Aditi’s narrative doesn’t just tell the story of a crush—it captures the journey of self-discovery that comes with navigating uncharted emotional terrain. Unsaid is a celebration of vulnerability and a tribute to the untold stories we carry in our hearts. For anyone who has ever fallen silently, loved from a distance, or found solace in the unspoken, this book is a gentle reminder that even the words left unsaid hold meaning, power, and beauty. This isn’t just a book; it’s an invitation to find comfort in your own unsaid moments and to embrace the silent truths that shape who we are.

This book is a passionate rendezvous with cinema, the most collaborative of art forms. The essays here explore the possibilities offered by a close reading of cinema that keeps cultural contexts and their socio-historical roots firmly in sight. This collection does not consider the “frame”, that oft-referenced basic unit of vision in films, as a limiting structure. Rather, it brings into purview what is left out. Divided into three sections, the essays look firstly at Indian cinema, both Bollywood and regional films, tracing the journey of Indian cinema from the periphery to the center. The second section focuses on Adaptation Studies and takes an unorthodox look at classic adaptations of literature. The final section is a reappraisal of directors like Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick. The essays propose that, even though the film as an artwork does not change fundamentally over time, it still strikes a contemporary critical gaze differently.
