Filter design is discussed from the perspective of transmission zeros, overcoming the traditional, more restrictive approach of scaling and transforming prototype tables. Viewers will learn to define transmission zeros at DC, infinite and finite frequencies. Improve the design by controlling the ratio of zeros at DC and infinity, place finite transmission zeros wherever they are required, and apply transforms to further improve realizability.
