Four months ago, my sister and I almost died. After surviving, I've been focused on living in the moment and making my firm successful. One night, my dad tells me he needs my help. He paid bail for a family friend in Nebraska and they need a lawyer for a murder case. Of course, I'll do anything for my dad, so I leave right away. But what I didn’t expect is for that family friend to be the last person I ever wanted to see again. He shattered my heart to pieces with a smile on his face and now...he's my client.
