What a crew we are! Forrest thought. What a diverse and uncollected lot! Two Canadians, two Australians, two Englishmen and a Dutchman. Their trouble was, basically, that they hadn't trained much together; or that was part of it. The normal bomber crew was a unit; seven men who served together, played together, went on leave together. They would all be on duty at once, and in the months in which they learned as a team, they learned also to fit in.
