We normally think of “apocalypse” as the end of the world, but the second definition is “an event involving destruction or damage on an awesome or catastrophic scale. But who’s to say what’s catastrophic? If the average person loses a million dollars, it’s a catastrophe, but for Bill Gates, it’s a Thursday. Every minute is the end of something.
