When Sarel Eimerl left England for a teaching post in America he was twenty-three. In all that time he had only been out with four girls and, in Eimerl's own words, "they did very little indeed to prepare me for the jungle warfare to come." But he very soon found his feet in the jungle and this hilarious story explains how he did so.

His first teacher was Barbara, an uninhibited co-ed whose lessons in love-making were famous all over the campus; then there was Nancy or the 'Vie de Boheme' in Greenwich Vllage; Doris, whose habit it was to strip-teaset parties; Frances, who always received her visitors in the nude; Leona, a lady wrestler, of whom Eimerl says "she provided me with the most dramatic half-hour I have ever been through"; Nora, a mathermatician with a frighteningly intellectual napproach to sex, and countless others.

Sarel Eimerl's story of his misadventures is uproarious without being coarse, wry without being cynical, and touching without being sentimental. It is a masterpiece of genuine humour. It will be relished and savoured by every adult reader. It will prove especially helpful to similarly situated young men, struggling to find their way through the jungle where the female is more deadly than the male.
