A short story Novella.
1920s Louisiana -- Ammi is a young black girl, born and raised in the bayou, hardworking and a lover of cola bottles, oh, and she was raised by gators. Her days were peaceful right up until they had found her again. Now she must confront a despicable Voodoo God named Skrualla who wishes to destroy everything precious in her life. Her journey will pit her up against many foes, including a zombie army of Confederates and Unionists that have been raised to handle this fickle gator girl. There's little time and the mysterious power that has been her family's curse isn't helping her either.
