The Head of Ocrin

Marcus Domitius sails for Britain where the druids are suspected of organising the Celtic tribes of Europe for a mortal blow against Roman stability. Many of his followers are lost to storms, pirates and treachery before he is wrecked on the Cornish coast. But he has learnt that a rock-idol, a vital object of worship and sacrifice, is within marching distance, and he devotes everything remaining to a decisive attack on enemy morale and druid prophecies as he battles for Rome against the Head of Ocrin.
