Naratif | Kisah ia a literary journal that explores the historical and contemporary narrative experience of Malaysia and Southeast Asia, bringing together diverse voices that creatively challenge and reimagine the idea of the narrative. Named after the Malay word for 'story' or 'tale', Naratif | Kisah addresses or responds to the theme of narratives in Malaysia and the region - modern retellings of age-old legends and folktales, prose fiction, literary essays, poetry, drama, literary translation, excerpts of oral traditions, photographs and graphic art. The bilingual journal features some of the most revered and established writers from Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region alongside exciting emerging voices.
Produced in conjunction with Iskarnival Naratif 2016 and the 10th Anniversary of Iskandar Malaysia (IM10).
