Treblemakers Piano Method Level 1: Beginning Piano: Building Reading & Coordination Skills

Level 1 picks up where Primer B left off building reading skills. It adds hands playing together, introduces new notes, increases coordination and begins building pattern and shape recognition skills. Chord Outline Songs: Begins by adding simplified left hand chord shapes to right hand C, D, E songs easing the coordination challenge of playing hands together. Parallel Motion Songs: Continues to work on bass clef reading of new notes as well explaining and training student to see 'parallel motion' patterns in music. Chord Pattern Songs: Builds additional coordination, drills reading and trains student to look for patterns based on chords. Rhythms: Provides an easy way to understand and add rhythm to songs with a method that can be built on (not replaced) as rhythm gets more complicated. Goal Sheet: Goal sheet with instructions how to use for more successful practicing and learning. Make copies (or purchase "Treblemakers Goal Sheets"). Rhythm Cards: Cut-out cards to drill on rhythm and learn to see beat regions and common patterns. Flash Cards: Cut-out cards to drill on notes and music terms as they are learned in songs.
