This third edition again makes appropriate revisions to keep the text abreast of new knowledge in the science of meteoorology. Major changes have been made to the description of atmospheric models in Chapter II, and to Chapter XV on Ice Accretion. A new chapter has been added on Mountain Waves, dealing with the problems associated with flight in mountainous regions.
