As she stepped on her favorite Maine wooded trail, with gravel crunching under her feet, euphorically alone in the lush beauty of Acadia National Park where her summer memories drifted through the leaves in the warm August air, Marielle set off.
This would be an afternoon to contemplate. To remember. To celebrate. To forget, for a few hours, the fragility of her body as the trail welcomed her forward.
