This volume is 95 pages long and features Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana on the back and front covers. The Staff Illustration section of this volume features exclusive new artwork from Hiroko Utsumi and Minoru Oota. The Prototype Illustration section shows "early character sheets" from director Utsumi for both Haru and Makoto. The Animation Works section features production art (including timesheets, director corrections & key frame sets) from the first five episodes of Free! as well as the opening and ending of the first series.
