Relocating from Brittany to north Wales, Jane and her family land in a remote spot on the Isle of Anglesey. After a year living there Jane discovers that it is the same place her grandfather lived, and that her ancestors are buried in the churchyard just a hundred yards from her front door.
Her grandfather was first-language Welsh, whereas her father could not speak the language. How can this be? How do you lose a language in a generation?
