The Quaintrelle is the first book in a kindle series about motley Californians: maids, leisure class, stepdaughters, lawyers and a shrew. Drinks are tossed, purses are thrown and dim-witted schemes concocted. It is a comedic story of a frivolous soul learning that life is more than quaint past times. Rita married rich and spent her days disapproving of her stepdaughter, shopping or seeing to it waiters and certain shop girls were fired. There wasn't a ripple in her life, until a visitor came with news. The carefree days are no more and misadventure ensues.
