Third volume of Malaysian Stories in English translation published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. Six authors, three men and three women are represented in this collection, thus allowing each author to speak at greater length. The stories translated are derived from short story volumes published during the 1980s. The stories are more experimental in techniques, less realist and many of them focus on the inner world of their characters; some are dominated by myth, fable and inter textual reference to other Malay literature.
