Using found imagery - often from Hollywood's Golden Age - White layers image upon image to create paintings that are at once surreal and hyperreal. In his 2004 solo exhibition "Who Are Parents?" White applied this approach to the theme of childhood memories, divorce, parental authority, and disappointment.
