Peguis

This is a life & times story about the legendary Saulteaux chief known as Peguis (1774-1864). Born near modern day Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario, Canada), Peguis and his band relocated to the banks of Netley Creek in the northern part of Red River Settlement (Manitoba) in the late 1700s. Much of this story comes from archival records and oral stories from descendants. It's a good read.
