Great book by San Francisco prolific writer, Herb Caen. Caen coined the term "Beatnik" and popularized the term "Hippie". Herb Caen lived and worked in San Francisco, writing for the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner beginning in the 1930s.
This book, written in 1957,1958 is a travel guide to the City of San Francisco in the 1950s...witty writing style, makes this book a fun read and it also has great pictures!
