Vitamin C Testing

In an introduction to chemistry and nutrition, students perform a simple chemical test using a vitamin C indicator to compare the vitamin C content of different juices. In addition to gaining experience in conducting and designing experiments, students learn to be discriminating consumers as they evaluate various juices. Fascinating ideas for further research projects are also included.
