Dick Slays the Dragons

Those who would betray their oath of office deserved the wrath of a righteous dragon slayer who would come forth to defend our nation's honor and national security interests. But certain dragons had their own, perverse sense of patriotism and believed they knew what was best for America. Regardless, their misguided allegiances and treacherous actions could lead to a dangerous imbalance of power in the Far East and possibly a war the United States would have to fight for an important friend and ally. The State Department's Black Dragons were on the prowl again and up to no good in this story of murder, foreign intrigue and betrayal. A young Special Agent of the Diplomatic Security Service had been found dead in Main State and Avery Dick had been recalled from retirement to work with the local authorities to determine the cause of death. What he found during the torturous and dangerous investigation would shake the department to its very core and trigger an outcry from Congress and the public for a thorough housecleaning of the Harry S. Truman Building.
